    I've used this now to Transfer my old FW400 iMac to my new FW800 iMac without a hitch. I'm also using it with my MOTU 828 mk2 FireWire Audio Interface and Digital Performer 6 and 7 - and it works perfectly (after downloading the new Snow Leopard drivers)! …More

    Works like a charm

    I just bought a new 13" MacBook Pro which has a 800 FW port. I wanted to hook it up to my existing 20" Cinema Display (2008 model) using a Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter, which has a 400 FW plug. The 400 plug doesn't fit into the 800 port...what to do? Moshi Firewire Adapter to the rescue! This little gem is exactly what I needed. The adapter's connections are tight and firm and won't budge, and the Cinema Display works perfectly as before.     Great for older apple cinema display, insight webcam, mac mini

    I recently purchase a newer mac mini. I notice the firewire port was deferent then the older ones, founded on the apple cinema display, and apple isight webcam. after some research and I found this adapter been the most affordable solution, Also its match the connectors for the apple isight webcam, and the apple cinema display perfectly.     Never Seen It Work

    I bought this adapter to make any of three FireWire 400 DV video capture devices work with my Mac Pro (4,1). While this adapter will make the devices show-up in the video and audio source lists of programs like iMovie and QuickTime Player, captures fail 100% of the time. QuickTime Player, for instance, insists that no data was transferred during any attempt to capture/record video. The fault may be in this adapter or with the Mac hardware/software, probably the latter.     Introduced noise with external soundcard (could be 1011 imac though)

    I used this with a 2011 imac and a Focusrtite Saffire pro24 pro external soundcard.

    I never used to have problems with interference but since I used this adaptor I do. When ever i move the mouse or there is any processing going on there is a lot of electrical noise coming out my studio monitors.

    However this could be the design of the new 2011 imac. I am yet to narrow it down, I haved ordered a single lead that adapts rather than this now and will test that.
