how do you connect the iPad to a TV to watch movies?
- Asked by Raymond C from Weston

Simply connect The ipad dock connecter to VGA adapter. But this is the least of your worries. The adapter connects easily, you can watch SOME videos, YouTube, previews of movies from iTunes store BUT when it comes to watching downloaded movies, you may not be able to do so. The type of movie or video is important and Apple does not gove specifics unfortunately. So if you can, do not connect your ipad to your TV, watch whatever you want to on your ipad and save your money instead. …More

Answer
VGA is a legacy port to connect computers and monitors. It stands for Video Graphics Adapter (some call it Video Graphic Array) and you'll also find VGA sometimes used to describe the resolution of the output from the computer: e.g. "SuperVGA. etc."
The connector is a three-row 15-pin DE-15 connector. The 15-pin VGA connector is found on many video cards, computer monitors, and some high definition television sets. On laptop computers or other small devices, a mini-VGA port is sometimes used in place of the full-sized VGA connector. …More- Answered by James T from Wake Forest
