The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the bracelet has a very limited life span: it doesn't stand up to even the minimal wear and tear of gently removing the tracking element every few days for recharge, and I can see that I will need to replace my bracelet after only a couple of months. The tracker and charging cable are still fine and this isn't a major drawback as the replacement bracelets aren't that expensive, but they also aren't available everywhere.

I had the Zip, but it just didn't generate enough information. The Flex has a great online app and links to a variety of apps, i.e I had the Zip, but it just didn't generate enough information. The Flex has a great online app and links to a variety of apps, i.e. MapMyRide.

The wrist band takes a bit to get used to and locking the clap can be a challenge until the holes in the band loosen up a bit.

One thing it doesn't do is track cycling. I remove it a put it in one of pockets but it doesn't quite do the job of recording the miles or steps. It also doesn't do steps.

It's worth the money if you are looking to get a handle on your level of activity.

Fitbit is so much more comfortable on my arm, plus that it tracks the sleep. I really like the app as well. I recently also bought the Aria wifi scale from Fitbit and with the Fitbit Flex it's the perfect combo to keep me on track towards my health goals. Really recommend.

A month and a half later, the replacement too has died. My friends and I purchased them to keep track of our health! Count our steps! Keep one another on track! But out of my 5 friends who purchased the Flex at the same time that I did, only 1 still has hers; all have had similar issues of poor quality and defectiveness. FitBit's continued sale and distribution of a shoddy product is egregious. In short, a waste of money.
