It's an excellent idea and really works well. The smart clip feature and the magnetic attraction of the stand to the iPad is fantastic. I have had it come loose a few times, but you get to used to how to open it without that happening. Another drawback, and I've noticed this and all Bluetooth keyboards (except the Apple one) is that occassionally, it types two letters instead of one. If it wasn't for that, I'd have given this five stars. The price is a bit high, but its about what the previous models from Zagg and Logitech have been.

I was nervous about a few of the others, because they did not have a magnetized section to hold in the iPad. This one exceeds all of my expectations. It is super slim, and holds the iPad in place while on my lap. The setup was extremely easy, and the bluetooth works great. I have had this keyboard for over two months now, and it still has the same charge as when I first got it.

The only thing I would say may be bad, is that you can't have a hard case on the back of the iPad. The keyboard doesn't have as strong as a hold while it is in the magnetized cradle, and I got nervous it would fall out.

  • Not for iPad Air!

Bought the same f I had one of these for a regular iPad with retina display, and it worked amazingly well (until both got stolen). Bought the same for the new iPad Air, and although it works well as a keyboard, it doesn't actually close as a cover, but leaves a large gap of about half a cm, and the small bar above the keyboard marks the screen. I returned the item and got a new one - same problem. If you look at the images provided you can see this must be a design flaw: the side view (image 3) closes for the iPad, but you can see a gap if you click on the same image for the iPad Air. Returning this one, and will wait for proper alternative or re-design. Such a shame as I really liked it for the iPad.

I bought this keyboard yesterday along with the iPad Air. Ive owned a iPad 2 for last 3 years. This is my 1st wireless keyboard I bought this keyboard yesterday along with the iPad Air. Ive owned a iPad 2 for last 3 years. This is my 1st wireless keyboard and very happy with it. But what I noticed it does not allow for auto caps and auto correct. After doing some reaserch i discovered that this problem is normal with all wireless keyboards and Apple iPads or any tablet. Being use to this feature it was at first bothersome but getting use to the fact that I now have to use the shift key and really getting use to spelling words correctly, that is, watch what letters im typing. Other than this small problem I am overall very happy. The keyboard has many great functions!! And love how I can fold it down to make the iPad look like a laptop. Connects using magnets and aliegns it perfectly.
