Beautiful looking and sounding
finally, a set of BT over the ear headphones that look good. saw these on gizmodo and bought them on release day.
build and qua lity: very durable. metal headband, very strong. also comes with 2 bands for sizing. they feel a little heavy, but the weight adds feel to the good build quality.
sound: this review is only on bluetooth mode, as i doubt i will use wired connection. they are on PAR with my Shure srh-440's, and better than B&W P3's and Beats by Dre. Sound at loudest volume is clear and concise, and highly satisfied as a harman kardon product. these also get loud, even while using bluetooth mode... the only bluetooth headphones that get louder than these are creative wp-350's. for the price, i would take these over the P3's any day as they are cheaper....
Look: as you could see from the pictures, very beautiful look... clean and simple. i just don't like the large harman kardon on the side, but small issue. may be overly large for some, but the cups are very flat and don't stick out at all (even the headband if fitted properly). There is a blinking blue light, but it faces down so not annoying.
Use: volume buttons on the side, and multi use button between them. This button pressed once plays/pauses music, pressed twice does next track, pressed 3 times back one track. This was tested on a android phone, moto bionic.
Conclusion: Worth the $250 tag, from all aspects of look feel sound quality. A steal at that price in my opinion. …- Written by Roberto B from Brooklyn

Excellent value!
These HK BT headphones are an excellent value. I have the Klipsch Image One wired headphones for their audio quality, and have use d the Beats Wireless headphones, and the audio, clarity and performance of these HK's is better than those in all ways. They are really comfortable, have solid construction, with steel headband and leather over-ear cups, and the music reproduction is REALLY GREAT. Some may find not like the mic, as it sounds electronic when on calls, but honestly that is to be expected from bluetooth, so no surprise there. They are a little heavy, but that is because of the materials used, again, doesn't bother me, but some may not like that.
I recommend these over the Beats, and over the Klipsch, so go buy a pair, they are great for $250 and they give you a lot of freedom and performance for what you pay! …- Written by Christos X from Flushing

One of the Best Headphones I Have Ever Used
A lot of the times, reviews for technical headphones involving a user manual for "setting up" get a lot of low ratings for connect ivity issues, user error, and misunderstandings. I have been using these headphones for a long time now, writing reviews for electronic music in Europe and Asia. I need a really good pair of headphones with a large frequency range, and as a producer I can pinpoint development, mastering, and all the audiophile mumbo jumbo needed in a review towards the artist. I can certainly say these headphones allow me to do just that. Great bass. Great mids. Crisp highs. These are top notch, in my opinion.
If the bluetooth doesn't work, it comes with a replacement AUX cable. Best Buy offers a 2 year physical/water damage replacement for $20. (better than the one year non accidental damage that comes with it). The bluetooth, for me, works just fine. The volume, however, will not go past 70% while the AUX will go all the way to 100%. This is my only complaint.
They cushions are very nice and comfortable. I love the design. Its really sexy and I can wear it for hours without hearing damage. Well thought out engineering on the frequency levels. Engulfing sound. Large presence. It is easy to get lost in the world of sound with this pair.
Everyone has different tastes. If you want to buy these headphones, try them out yourself. I feel they are well worth the $249, which is a rare opinion from me. …- Written by Nick S from Sherwood

Great sound, terrible bluetooth, tolerable with audio, horrible with video.
Good sound. Nice design. Terrible Bluetooth.
Hit 'play' and there's a delay of several seconds before the sound starts. A co uple of seconds of audio have been discarded. When the audio starts, it lags behind the source by about a second. The headphones catch up with the video source progressively over a few minutes. Switch to a different movie and you're back to square 1 with a couple of lost seconds and the delay.
I have another pair of bluetooth headphones which don't do this at all - so it's definitely in the Harman Kardons, not in the iPad/iPhone or bluetooth in general.
They often stop playing. Sometimes they trigger a pause in the iPad/iPhone and you can just hit the play button to start again. Sometimes they just go silent but the iPad/IPhone is still going and you have to go back to replay it. Sometimes they literally power themselves down and you have to power them back up again (the battery is not low).
When you power them up they play a little melody so you know to take your finger off the power button (else they go into pairing mode). That melody is so quiet that if you're in the city area (or a noisy cafe) you won't hear it.
As another reviewer wrote, any contact with the headphones makes an incredibly loud noise in your ears. If you bump them with your hand, if you brush them against anything when getting off a train, reaching into a cupboard, or anything, it's the audio equivalent of being struck with a baseball bat.
It's amazing that Harman Kardon allow this product go out the door with their name on it. I doubt I'll buy anything from them again. Once bitten, as they say. …- Written by Peter T from Summer Hill
