Works okay, for about a year ...
I was satisfied with this charger, which I used both in my car and occasionally at work, for close to a year.
Then I started t o see error messages (using the car charger) that stated that the charger was not a supported accessory. If I jiggled the cable, took it out and replaced it, or unplugged the entire unit, the error message would often go away and the unit would charge. But sometimes, I simply could not get the charger to work.
Then the same messages started showing up while I was using the wall charger.
About 16 months after purchase, the unit stopped working in my car - even with jiggling. A week later, the wall unit stopped working as well.
I now have to buy another charger, and my phone still looks new.
I am very careful and gentle with my things - they usually last a very long time.
I do not recommend this product. …- Written by Joan T from Mountain View

Poor design
I brought this pair if chargers thinking I could save money on buying two separate ones, big mistake!
Mains charger is ok and a mple enough for the iPad, although the Griffin version of the dock plug is quite bulky and doesn't fit through the base of my iPhone case. But I have loads of Apple leads that do, so no real problem.
But the miniature car charger is next to impossible to remove from the car's accessory socket once inserted. There is nothing to grip or hold on to in order to pull it back out. I had to use a screwdriver in the end to lever it out, and damaged the casing. So I doubt very much I'll get a refund. …- Written by Mark S from Maidstone

Not happy
I must blame myself for going the cheaper route. I plugged the charger into a socket at work and it started making crackling noise s the USB car charger port broke apart the wall charger only worked in random sockets and it completely stopped working after only a few months. Apples been great to me I'm going still going to shop apple for a new charger but this particular product I was completely unsatisfied with. …

Works but...
I bought this for a roadtrip and liked the fact that it came with both a car and wall charger. It works fine, though my phone does get hot when charging in the car. My biggest complaint though has to do with the fact that upon opening the charger and testing it the black face plate fell off instantly. Poor quality but it still works. For the cost ($39.95) I would have expected it to hold together for at least an hour but no such luck. …

I ordered a 16GB IPAD (wi-fi only). Do you have a charger that I can plug in overseas (220 outlet)? If so where can I purchase one? Thankyou.

The charger that is included with your iPad can take input from 100 - 240 volt. So, it will work wi th 220 volt input just fine. However, outlet overseas may have different shapes. If this is the case, you can purchase a travel adapter that allows you to plug in your iPad charger in those 220 volt outlets. These adapters can be found at many places including stores in airports, luggage stores, or electronic stores. …
