    Best accessory

    The smart cover is part of my iPad, not really an accessory. Unobtrusive, effective, flexible, well made and durable (one year's heavy use and still going strong) it's perfect really. As long as I have an iPad I'll also own one of these.

    iPad Smart Cover

    I just recieved my cover, and it is very nice. However, I would like to have something that covers the back side of my iPad. This is a great cover for the front screen, but leaves the back side exposed. I would also like more lift from the support of cover when using from desktop view.

    No no no no no! Don't buy this!

    This cover is horrible! I've had my iPad for over a year, never dropped it once...(had a different cover). I have had this cover for 2 weeks...dropped it 4 times..and when it drops there is no protection as the cover is still in your hand and your iPad is on the floor. The magnet is not half strong enough. I guess it does what it is supposed to if you are buying it as a stand and and to put the iPad to sleep when closed....BUT DO NOT BUY THIS FOR PROTECTION! Especially do not buy if you have children that ever touch your iPad! I've taken mine off for now until I get a new one...maybe I'll try the smart case. I think nothing on my iPad is better than this cover.

    I think it's ok but it doesn't stay on well it looks nice but it isn't the best movie viewing stand as it claims but also the part where the magnets connect to ipad. Scratched the metal finish on my new ipad 4 so it's kinda cool I guess but be careful

    I am surprised that company like apple sells these type of cases ( i bought a smart cover case). It is annoying to deal with , it doesnt hold the ipad , it constantly falls and seems to be pretty useless for 45 dollars plus tax it is a waste of money

    Smart Cover Case does a great job!

    The smart cover case does what it's supposed to do...protects the back of the IPad and protects the screen when closed. Some of the negative remarks here are just typical of heavy use of any moving thing...wear! There is a difference between the smart cover and the smart cover case. The smart cover just protects the screen, not the rear. The smart cover case protects both front and rear and along with that is a higher cost. You get what you pay for. Overall, I am very satisfied with the product because it does what it's supposed to do. It won't get dirty if you don't handle the device with dirty hands or set it down in dirty places. Other than that it is what it is...a case. It will eventually wear with use but so far so good for me after a few months. I highly recommend it.

    Marks easily

    I have read lots of reviews of this product, but nobody seems to have mentioned the fact that it marks really easily. Even a drop of water will mark it and will not come off. I've tried cleaning it, but nothing works and it looks horrible. I am definitely changing back to the full cover, not just because they offer more protection, but also because they look cleaner. I hate my blue cover, it looks a mess and I really haven't had it that long, although sadly too long to be able to return it.

    Awesome Cover!

    I've used this cover on my iPad and it's awesome! The colour I've ordered, Blue, is awesome! For the people who are saying "It doesn't protect the back." Well in the product name it says, Smart Cover. It only protects the front. If you're that desperate, get a back cover or a Smart Case altogether.

    Nice product

    Have two of these one grey and one blue . The blue one is prone to fading
    Good points
    Acts as a stand
    Puts the iPad to sleep
    When using the iPad it can be put behind the iPad giving a nice soft surface to hold the iPad
    Bad points
    Does not protect the back of iPad therefore resulting in lots of scratches on the back of iPad
    The blue color fade to a light blue color
    Does not protect the iPad completly ( found this the hard way ) dents have been formed on my iPad and it really hurts me to see those dents , so best is to take the smart case

    Excellent product, deceiving color

    The product is excellent; I have nothing bad to say about it. It works well, covers the screen well, and looks sharp. The only thing I think people should know is that it's not as deep a blue as is shown on the website. The best thing I can compare it to is UNC Tarheels blue. It's not a bad color at all, but I go to the University of Kentucky, and UNC-colored anything isn't received well here. But if you don't mind the color, I love the cover and wouldn't dream of buying anything else!

    Nice design but poor durability

    The case is a nice, clever design for protecting the screen without covering the whole iPad and losing the aesthetics of the product. Works well as a stand as well.

    BUT....like some others here, I am highly unimpressed by the product's durability. Within a few months the polyurethane cover was pulling away from the suede-ey protecting inner lining, and now after 6 months it looks nothing but tatty. I don't think I have been particularly abusive, rarely ever taking it outside the house. It's actually so poor, I may try getting a warranty replacement because the glue seems to be faulty and for £35, I would expect better....or at least a longer lifespan.

    Perfect for Movies

    This is perfect for me because I love watching movies n my iPad but my hands get tired when I hold my iPad. When I got the Smart Cover it kept up my iPad and worked perfectly. It's also good for typing and keeping up your iPad.
