Just got my Ipad2 and the dock is a real necessity. Small, sleek and hopefully does the job.

This dock works exactly as expected and its perfectly fine.

It's nicely weighty, has great minimalist design ... and it's a dock for an iPad.

We love this dock, so much we just bought another one. My husband hooks it up to his speakers out in the shop & just streams all day while he's creating. The one we just bought is going to be hooked up to the Bose so we can stream away in the house! The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is that you do have to jiggle it sometimes to get it to connect just right. Don't let the negative reviews bother you. You just have to be smarter than the device. Can't fix "stupid"

Perfect if you use your iPad for listening to books, or use it for an alarm/clock. You can connect speakers to the stand. For what it does, the price is fair in my opinion.

This stand has so far not toppled or slid across my desk once. I also find the viewing angle to be very good and is a big improvement from the last iPad stand. However, you cannot open and close a smartcover while the iPad is docked.

This works, but it seems like this is a personal preference item, because my friends hates it so he gave to me and I love it. I expected this item to have mixed reviews, I can't blame them. This item depends on the person, how the person uses the iPad on the dock. For me its fine, but apparently not for some others.

that the space to set the iPad into was just a little wider. I have a thin protective back cover on my iPad which keeps it from fitting in the doc. The cover is a bit of a pain to take off and on. If you plan to use a cover that you don't want to remove, you may want to skip the dock.

I like it because I can use it at my desk with out having to look down. What I don't like is that you can not use a case with it and it is a pain to have to put on the case and then take the case off. But other then that I like the dock

This delivers exactly what the box promises. A neat solution where one has (e.g.) one's mbp on one's not very large desk and wants to multi-task with the iPad 2 as screen 2. The iPad 2 fits in very snugly, with no sideways or backwards wiggle (i.e. crucial stability is delivered). The connection is easily lined up (i.e. the home button goes bang in the middle) and the iPad slots in effortlessly. The base is slightly rubberised so on one's slidey desk surface it grips perfectly. It takes minimal space to do a professional job. The only reason 4 not 5 stars is that a second port for sync-ing whilst charging would deliver the absolutely perfect configuration. Personally, I think the smart cover's big selling point is its extreme ease of on/off-ness, so I can see no reason to be woebegone to 'have' to take it off to use the dock!

I like placing the iPad in the charger and have the Weather HD app on screen. Looks very nice. I do think that it should have come with a power cord, but apart from thata nice product indeed.
As for the smart cover, roll it back and use a nice screen saver.
