Reviews for Apple iPod shuffle Dock

I did not expect this pretty design to be so poor in quality, its a shame that apple can not manufatcure this better for the quantity of buyers they have. I strongly believe they should re-call this part and replace all the sold ones at no charge.

I bought an ipod shuffle for my daughter and she adors it but the dock was a piece of garbage she didnt even have it for a month yet i am disappointed in apple she cant even use her ipod because she cant charge it i think you should give people a discount on these docks or get in for free because this is rediculous

I bought this shuffle for my son for Christmas. We then took a vacation... Thanks to the baggage handlers at Chicago Ohare... Dock totally destroyed.... Now a replacement will cost me a further $30 .... grrrrr Please Apple... come up with something a little more durable.. That pin is just waiting to be broken. :(

I charged my Ipod shuffle just 3 times before the dock quit working sceptical on weather to buy a new charge dock wish they had a cord like the headphones the you could just plug in like the headphones

I just broke my second one. I travel very often and am addicted to my ipod so the dock had to travel with me everywhere and with the vertical pin i broke it again. So if you are going to leave it safely on a neat shelf or desk you'll be fine but otherwise it makes the shuffle so not worth it.

Wow. Most people have USB ports at the bottom/back of their computer. Now, the iPod shuffle dock plugs into the USB port. This requires it to be on the ground. If something has a ridiculously fragile stem that bends whenever slight pressure is applied, it will bend when on the ground. And if the metal stem is broken or bent, you can't put the iPod on correctly, and the computer can't read it.

Apple, get with it and make a durable dock. Now I have to shell out $30 for my SECOND replacement dock! And I'll probably just break it again. Thanks, Apple!

The tip broke off of the dock. Ok, that would have been my fault, however, it is obviously poorly made just by looking at all of the reviews for this product. I won the Shuffle, so I don't see spending money on it just to spend it again shortly after, ecspecially since I could buy a whole new one for $20 more. I will go back to my previous MP3 player and take the loss for the songs that I can't play on it.

i never traveled with mine, it just never worked. i thought the ipod was broken when it was brand new out of the box. Since i had purchased the other charger that plugs directly into the usb port, i tried my shuffle on that charger and it works.

Shuffle is great, however, the silly docking station breaks and you are in deep trouble. What is it with Mac products?... great ideas, beautiful execution, zero reliability. I'll think twice about getting anything Mac again.
