Hi. I just purchased MLB on my new apple tv & I cant find the listing for the spring traing games that start on sunday.
I want to know when my MLB on my Apple tv will show me the spring training games schedule. When I log in it only shows last season & where it says "upcoming" there's nothing there. Thanks in advance for getting me through this. Joel

If your iMac was built in 2011 or more recently and are running Mountain Lion, yes this functionality is built-in ("Airplay Mirroring").
If your iMac is older than that, you can still do it but you will need to purchase a 3rd party program called Airparrot ($10) and be running at least OSX 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). Yes. Apple TV doesn't choose what TV it'll work with.
However, you should double-check that your Samsung Smart TV is equipped with HDMI ports, which I'm pretty sure modern TVs have them.- Answered by Seth C from Bangkok

Connection to a Pioneer Elite TV
There is not a HDMI connection on my TV or my receiver. Am I unable to use Apple TV until I have a TV or Receiver with an HDMI connection?

The short answer would be yes, but with a 3rd party adaptor/ converter you could manage. The AppleTV has a 'standard definition' setting that allows for it to be played on older tvs, but it does require an HDMI connection.

Hey Michael, you can only connect one iOS device or Macbook using AirPlay. But, switching between the devices using AirPlay is very simple; just select the icon, via iTunes, or the toolbar at the top of your screen on a Mac, or by double clicking the home button on your iOS device, swipe to the left and select the AirPlay button. You can then choose to mirror your display, or just use it for videos.

what channels can I get with apple TV
I am paying way too much for cable TV with Comcast. Trying to find another way to get TV. Would we be able to get History channel, Discovery channel, Disney, Nick,HGTV and of course ABC NBC and CBS to name a few of the channels we watch? Not so much worried about movie channels. Thinking of investing in Apple TV. What would I need to purchase to get up and running?

can i stream movies from my network hard drive
example from my wireless router w/ usb port which my hard drive is connected to serve as network hard drive and i want it to wirelessly stream my movies, photos & music from that network hard drive to the apple tv... is it posssibble?..

Yes this should be possible. As long as your hard drive when connected via USB can be accessed from you computer then there is no issues, all you do is have your iTunes library on the hard drive then locate it when you open iTunes on your computer. Once iTunes is running the Apple TV will stream from that library on that hard drive.
I have used this method and a NAS drive connected via ethernet to the router or switch and simply switch between multiple libraries on either drive.- Answered by John K
