Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adaptor

I have a very old white Macbook model A1181, will this port fit into my computer?

The port and the plug don't look compatible. My port is a rectangle with two thin slots in the top and bottom and a thicker filled area in the center. This plug looks like it has the opposite. Which adapter do I need to hook up my macbook to a computer monitor?

    This will NOT work. You need to purchase the Mini DVI to VGA adapter. They are £16 as of Feb 2012 on the Apple website.

  • MacBook A1181 should use Mini-DVI, not Mini DisplayPort. Try the Apple Mini DVI to VGA adapter.
