What is the best Mac/ Macbook Pro for professional video editing / final cut studio?
I have done some professional work on my Macbook Pro 13" with imovie 09 but it has crashed a couple of times when I'm doing the intense editing.
I need to upgrade to Final Cut Studio and I thought I'd need to get a desktop for the power but is this something I can do on a laptop? Would a 15" or 17" do the job? I keep hearing about a G5 tower too??
I'll be doing a lot of graphics and effects.

As a pro, I would recommend a Mac Pro. Laptops can overheat when rendering 1080i or p video, epecially if there are a lot of filters involved.
