will the ipod shuffle work with any ipod dock

My young grandaughter has a shuffle and would like to play it using a music dock. Is this possible?

    The Shuffle doesn't have the traditional 30-pin port nor the new Lightning port, so you won't be able to dock it that way. However, if the dock has an auxiliary input you can hook it up using a 3.5mm cable plugged into the headphone jack of the Shuffle. Many people use this in their cars as well if their car stereo includes a 3.5mm port but not a USB port or iPod dock.
