Can you take calls from your 5th gen i pod touch from apps like viber or magic jack without having to use the earbuds or the speaker?

Yes. You can. Tricky question, but you can. Textfree works good. It makes the call on a mode where it isn't on a speaker. I believe all apps do that, but youcan always ajust it.
