Can I use the cord from my iPod for my iPad 1 to sync with my computer which is not Apple?

It depends.
If the iPod uses the 30 pin connector like that found on the iPad then yes. Some iPods, like early shuffles, didn't use this style connector and cannot be used with the iPad.- Answered by Edward S from Pensacola
