My TV only has one HDMI port and that's used by the DVD player. Is there way to also set up Apple TV?

Output from Apple TV is HDMI only, so it boils down to either lead swapping or using the SCART output from the DVD player into your TV. Alternatively, there are HDMI switching boxes which one might use.
