Can we watch BBC iplayer, Lovefilm, itv iplayer etc via apple TV??

No you can't and it's extremely unlikely that Apple will ever assist you in doing this. Apple wants you to purchase all your content via iTunes. While iPlayer, ITV Player and 4oD are all free services I very much doubt Apple will show any interest in implementing or allowing this to be implemented - they want you to buy an IOS device like an iPad or iPhone and use Airplay to play it on your Apple TV via the application on one of those devices.
Lovefilm is essentially a direct competitor to Apple and their iTunes store. If it ever appears as an option for Apple TV I'll eat my hat. Netflix is pretty poor in the UK and was probably added because no one in the USA would have even bothered with Apple TV if it hadn't been there.
This does quite nicely demonstrate why the walled garden we are being herded towards is a bad thing.
