I was looking for an iPad full case, because I was having problems with my smart cover, after analyzing several cases I found this one that fits my iPad perfectly. It looks really great and it doesn't feel like a cheap thing.

I'm returning this.
First of all this is a one piece cover. Secondly it's very much like the First gen iPad's case. The typing angle is lower, the wat ching angle is way to close to 90 degrees and very wobbly. Also the case is a little bit loose (both with iPad 2 and 3) Feels very cheap. Worth maybe $20... Maybe... if you feel like spending that day. …

Disappointed...
At first I was impressed: great colour, great cause, fits perfectly.
6 months on and I couldn't be more disappointed. The case is falling apart; coming away at the seams. This isn't a cheap case but I thought by purchasing an apple branded product it would be well worth the price. The product description claims it's 'sturdy' but I couldn't disagree more.
Please note: I do not take my iPad outside, I do not place it in a bag (let along in a bag with other items). My husband also purchased a smart case in blue and has had exactly the same experience.

Don't buy case too expensive and does not last
I bought this case in December, because I thought it would be of high quality because of the price and brand. I barely use my iPad and the case is already falling apart! The cover doesn't close properly, the case is a little slack and the case is unsticking by the home button. Don't buy this expensive case if its not going to last …

Yes. It will prevent it as long as you don't drop it in a way that the back hits the floor. I have t he same cover and I dropped the iPad on a concrete sideway while walking. The cover prevented the iPad but the cover itself is a little damaged. Nothing much. The iPad fell face down on the sidewalk. But there was no damage to the iPad. :) …
