Product Information

  • With the Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader, it's easy to download photos and videos from your digital camera to your iPad or iPad mini so you can view them on the gorgeous iPad display and share them with family and friends.

After you insert the SD card into the reader, your iPad automatically opens the Photos app, which lets you choose which photos and videos to import, then organizes them into albums. When you sync iPad or iPad mini to your PC or Mac, the photos and videos on your iPad are added to your computer's photo library.

The Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader supports standard photo formats, including JPEG and RAW, along with SD and HD video formats, including H.264 and MPEG-4.

Use this with a card to keep X ammount of videos to watch and upload at whim to my mini to watch, also use SD card as a photo library. basically this makes your ipad mini into a much larger platform for getting vids and pics onto it without having your computer at hand to upload new / diff vids or photos from. which is perfect for travel where you want a HUGE GB of vids to upload to watch on your ipad mini.

I bought this for my new iPad mini. You should insert the card in the reader, then insert into iPad. No problem with transfer.

It's a new piece of equipment with a lightning connector, if it doesn't work with iPad Air what IS it designed to work with? Ill thought out trash that caused me to go back to the store for a refund. Really would have expected much better from an Apple branded product.
The only reason I've rated at all is because I have to, if you could score in negatives I would.

I don't know why others are having trouble reading 64GB cards. I just got my Lightning reader this week and the first things I imp I don't know why others are having trouble reading 64GB cards. I just got my Lightning reader this week and the first things I imported were RAW shots taken on a SanDisk Ultra 64GB SDXC card. The only reason I am not giving the reader 5 stars is it would be great to be able to view photos to check for shot quality without having to import them.
