I just bought this product and was excited to be able to watch the videos on my ipad on the tv. Unfortulately the imaging works for everything except video. You can hear the video, but not see the image. This is a huge waste of money if you want to use it for this purpose. Don't waste your money.

This is the biggest waste of money. As mentioned does not work on IOS6 you get a message saying "the device is not supported" was working fine on earlier versions. Absolute joke that you pay out €30 for an adapter for them to update the IOS and for it not too work afterwards. Could be forgiven if this was not an apple product but it is & doesn't explain why its still on sale.

Worked perfectly with ios 5, ios 6 obviously rushed out. Totally nothing! DO NOT BUY! Apple have really screwed up this. Wanted to watch anchorman on my 42" LG now stuck with 10" iPad. Really angry with apples shoddy software engineering. First time I have ever had this problem. Apple is supposed to 'just work' that's why it's so expensive. This is really bad!

After upgrading to iOS6, both, the digital and analog adapter goes to nothing. How could it be? I don't lnow I don't care but one thing I must say. Recently we receive an important news. Apple is going to open a new office in my country to manage all the south american market. Yes I'm talking about Chile. Actually I'm a teacher from DuocUC in Marketing, Advertising, Design, Branding and new technologies of communication. I usually do my class with my iPod 4G and a projector. Imagine my frustration after this...wanna be the best? Fix it, otherwise my campaign will be about this to show them (my students) how to blow it and send an important brand to the grave. capisci???

This product is amazing I bought it yesterday and purchased the Tintin HD Movie on iTunes to watch it on my 55" HDTV and it looks amazing full 1080 pixels out, also the sound works perfect no problems with my surround system, it was so worth the 42 bucks 100 % recommend this product. :) love it.

I bought this on a whim at the Apple store the other day. I was streaming Netflix through my iPad to the TV through this adapter and the picture was clear as day. Very impressed, great product!

Just bought this product litterally 1hr ago on the assumption it would play all that I have on my phone (mirror as they say). I tried to get the saleperson to do a quick demo to verify that it would work as expected, but no luck, so back home troubleshooting, not enjoying, and now writing. I'm on a iPhone4, and although this unit supports the device as per this website, it clearly only supports "APPLE" verified APPS. Meaning, living here in Canada, there are a tremendous amount of streaming video available from the various networks via their own APPS. I've restarted, reset, rebooted, but I cannot get video from these at all as they don't have the special window that says "this video is playing on your TV", only sound. I also cannot get video from Safari. Of all the APPS I have that succesfully play video on my phone, only the Movies, Podcasts, Photos, and Music will actually play through the HDMI cable to my TV. I'm very disappointed as I was hoping to swap this out for my cable for a bit and save some money, seems that won't be the case. It does not actually "mirrror" your device, at least not mine, its seems the APPS have to be designed to accept the signal and push it out or our phones more likley are only designed to work between APPLE to APPLE products? AUGH. Don't even get me started on the new "MAPS" application they pushed out. Seems the past few months have been worse for users than ever before. Frustrating. To be Returned TOMORROW and I guess I'll just be happy watching ALL my stuff on my phone. I don't really feel like paying 50$ for something that only works for "some" and not all, that's not mirroring anyway.

i had this for many months for use with my ipad 2 and iphone 4. it was working until i updated my iphone 4 to ios 6.0.1, then it does not output display but only sound to TV. ipad 2 still on ios 6.0.0 works fine.

Bought this last night to watch a Rental from iTunes and it worked perfectly on my 55" Samsung 3D-LED TV. Also played The Avengers that I bought a digital copy of. No black bars on the sides or tops - it was perfect. A must buy if you have a 2nd or 3rd gen iPad and iPhone 4 - 4s.
