Reviews for Apple Magic Mouse

First off I see a lot of reviews about how bad it tracks. That is the one thing it does superior to any mouse I've ever used. The trick for me was to throw away the mouse pad and just use it directly on my desk. Then it is very precise, fluid and responsive. The vertical scrolling is very smooth and linear. First bad thing is battery life. I wanted to say more but I'm tired of seeing the red message saying some of my words cannot be published. I've edited until I'm blue in the face and used two programs to make sure I'm under 300 words. A little more feedback on what words or a word counter would be helpful.

I'm an art director, so I use Photoshop.... A lot. Since it requires constant mouse use for making paths and selections, the sharp edges on the sides begin to cut into the side of my finger. I had to switch back to the previous, more rounded version of the mighty mouse. I love the design, but they should taper the corners a bit more

Wonderful mouse ergonomically and practically. Economical with batteries. But the infuriating disconnections can only be cured by fitting conductive plugs at the positive end of the batteries. I have now discovered why: the spring at that end is very weak, if indeed the positive terminals should be sprung at all. Very poor construction of a superbly designed and great-to-use device. How about a general recall and replacement?

Love the way I can manage this mouse but exactly it stop working after a year of use. I purchase the second one a year ago and happen the same thing again stop working. I think no more magic mouse.

I have 2 Magic mice, 1 for a Mac and 1 for a MacBook, and both behave and misbehave the same. They are sleek and work well much of the time. The wireless is especially nice. They have some ruggedness, as I dropped one with no consequences. However, both lose connection to the computer regularly and are suddenly unresponsive at other times. These episodes of misbehavior seem to be getting more frequent with time. Also, the mice are too sensitive at times. Lastly, the small metal plate on the underside simply won't stay attached. Overall, the Magic Mouse is a great idea, but needs some re-engineering to be more reliable.

The swipe is great. The multi button is great. The scroll zoom is HORRIBLE!

I use Cinema 4D and other 3D modeling as well as a lot of Adobe products. This mouse loves to zoom to infinite levels in a project if you so much as look at it wrong.

If that "flick scroll, infinite zoom" thing can be fixed, it would be an easy 5 stars.......but because it is SO annoying, only 3 stars ( and that is generous!)

This mouse is functional, as in everything works just fine. It's just that the size of the mouse makes absolutely no sense. The iPhone 5 was created with the design of the human hand in mind, and as a result, it's very comfortable to hold. Sure, the Magic Mouse is very small and sleek and looks cool, but it's uncomfortable to use for a long period of time.

needs more gestures. needs to be more comfortable in hand. needs to be able to just tap as a click, right now you have to push all the way down and there is that annoying clicking noise it needs to have the option just like the touch pad to either click all the way down or to just tap. other than that great product.

I've been using this Magic Mouse since May 2012, didn't have any problems until recently. It constantly disconnects and reconnects this is really annoying and I don't understand why, also it eats batteries (it takes 2) like mad and the battery cover is not that easy to remove. . When I went from a PC to IMAC I had a Logitech mouse and rarely needed to change the battery (1). Does this mouse just wear out or is it a malfunction of the design. I really don't want to pay $60 for a new one after less than 1 year of use.

the touch surface is not calibrated well. it is too sensitve and will swipe to another page when you just touch the surface without a swipe. And it eats batteries, I have rechargeable batteries and have to change them out every week. It is an awesome device when there are not touch surface errors. I watched the video, I know the functions, hopefully it is just a calibration issue, I cannot give it 5 stars. 3 stars is very accurate at best, Its great but it has its flaws
