    HD Case for Rugged Work

    • Written by from melton

I work in the construction industry and have a lot of dirt, dust and heavy equipment to contend with. I found my bag at JB HiFi and it's perfect at carrying everything I need in a small light weight bag. Some other reviews have said issues with zipper. So far none yet. I find the zip stiff, but it never locks or fails to open. The bag cleans up with a damp microfibre cloth to look like new. Really its the best bag I have ever bought.

    Thule seams come undone

    • Written by from Akron

I bought this for my 13" MacBook Pro. Within a short amount of time, the front corner seam, where the flexible rubber and zipper are attached, came undone. Just recently, a second corner seam came undone. In both cases, it makes the case "unzippable." I originally liked the case because it was light and slim in profile, with the nice rubberized exterior. But it seems to have a structural flaw in the way the rubber and zipper are attached. It would be a nice case but for that.

Great bag - for six months

    • Written by from Houston

I haven't even had this a year, and I've loved it, but the zipper is pulling away from the bag and jamming. Sadly, the quality doesn't live up to the price/design.

    The Best

    • Written by from Cambridge

Looked at lots of bags. This is the best for small but room for the needed stuff. As they say "provide rugged, weather-resistant protection" No zippers problems. It is a weather-resistant zippers so i am nice to it.

    Great but not so great

    • Written by from Dartmouth

Purchased the Thule laptop case for my Macbook Air back in September. The case itself is spectacular! My Macbook, iPad, and charging cords etc fit well into the case, with lots of room remaining. However, it is now November and one of the corner sections of the zipper decided to lose its teeth and the zipper practically is coming off the case itself. Not very impressed as I paid $85+tax for the case...

    Zipper Failure

    • Written by from Indianapolis

After about 6 months of use, the zipper on this bag failed, rendering it useless on an overseas trip. The zippers have a difficult time getting through the four corners of the bag. In my case, teeth were torn out in the bag corners and in others the zipper separated from the case. It's a wonderfully efficient little bag, holding all needed accessories and more, plus an iPad, in minimal space, but all is nullified by the poor engineering of the zippers. This very problem is also frequently cited on Amazon, where I checked after having my issues.

    Don't Purchase!

    • Written by from Forest Lake

This Attache case has a very faulty zipper. After 1-3 months, the zipper will lose its track in one of the corners. The second zipper on the other side will soon follow, making the case absolutely useless.

I paid 109$ for a heavy duty case that lasted less than 3 months. No offer of replacement or refurb, either. Stuck with the loss and now will have to sort out another case.

The zipper's are not built to last. AVOID.

Really nice, but iPad 1 owners be aware

    • Written by from Sunderland

Echo the other reviews that say how attractive and well made the case is and I've tossed over buying this for a few months before actually taking the plunge.

However, after buying it today, I'm now debating whether to keep it or return it and look for something else. The problem is that it seems that the tailored spaces seem very very specific for what they can hold.

The MacBook Pro slot will only just fit the MacBook Pro in. There is absolutely no room for a sleeve/cover of any description and whilst it's nice that it is a snug fit and won't slosh around, there is nothing in the way of padding around the corners of the bag and therefore the laptop.

The iPad slot is also tight. I own an iPad 1 and in the original Apple folding sleeve it's a struggle to get in. When you do get it in, the blue/rigid divider becomes considerably bowed. If I use it without the sleeve it fits in slightly better with minimal bowing. Trying another family members iPad 2, it fits so much more comfortably to slip in and out. Looking now at the pictures, it does appear that the iPad 2 (without case/cover) is used in the photographs which perhaps tells me that it wasn't designed for the iPad 1.

It's a shame as I really like the case. I might return it for the 15" version which should give me the extra leeway for a MacBook sleeve, I'm unsure if it will change the iPad section though.

Great case but poor quality zipper

    • Written by from Abbotsford

Overall a very good case which has suited me in my travels well. Unfortunately within 5 months of buying it, while being overseas, the zipper has broken on the corner. Would recommend this case but Thule needs to address this zipper quality issue as I see now that Im not the only person this has happened to.

    little luggage for macbook pro

    • Written by from Lane Cove North

I ordered my new MBP from the online store but wasn't sure about the bags. I went to the Sydney Apple store yesterday and saw this one in 13" and fell in love it. I purchased it and used it for a book and a portable charger straight away. Looks petite on the outside but quite roomy inside. Can't wait for my MBP to arrive now. I'm a female and I think this one looks very nice and professional for women too.

Fantastic ... with just one small drawback

    • Written by from Leicester

So I did a lot of research on cases to house my Macbook and decided on this semi-reigid Thule one as a perfect match to protect the Mac. It's not cheap but it has the Thule brand to give you confidence and I was expecting a high quality case. And it diminutive considering what it can theoretically hold including an iPad. It's also very well thought out with some neat touches (such as the wider base to house the power supply or other large cables).

The one but is that the case is so snug for the macbook it can be difficult to extract it from it's compartment, made worse as my Macbook has the Zagg Invisible Shield on it that makes it very slightly wider (a fraction of a mm all the way around).

Overall though this is a fantastic case and another winner from Thule. Interestingly not many places seem to stock it in the UK, apart from Apple and a couple of other suppliers, which is a shame for such a great piece of design.

Does not last a long time.

    • Written by from Vancouver

Cheap quality on the zipper. It tears apart on the corners. The first one I had broke in the second week of use. The second one I have now broke in less than a year. It's an $80 case not a $10 or $20 case. It should last more than a year!

Other than the cheap quality, It does fits everything nicely. I will try to see if they will replace this one. If not then I will get something else. Can't keep switching bags every year.

    Quite Nice

    • Written by from East York

The Bag is very well constructed - but just FYI - it's a pretty tight fit for a MBA with a case and an iPad with a traditional cover (not the Smart Cover). The Bag works well - but it's a bit of squeeze to get both these in along with accessories. I'm keeping it though because the protection it offers far outweighs the few extra seconds it takes to get them in and out of the bag.

    a great snug fit

    • Written by from Timberlea

So I have received my new case and it's great! I have a SPECK case already fitted on my 13" MacBook Pro and it fits just fine. It is "tight" as the zipper goes around the inside (r bottom) corners as you close it but there is not enough strain on the zipper to be concerned. Once it is zipped halfway the last corners are easy. I highly recommend this laptop and it's going to be well protected in this case. These three were meant for each other, worth every penny.

    Best case I've ever used

    • Written by from Port Coquitlam

The Thule case is extremely well designed (your MBP fits in with a satisfying soft click) and the entire case is streamlined, comfortable to carry and won't get in your way like a lot of other bags. The handles have a gel within that makes them not only comfortable to hold, but strangely compelling. The case is clearly durable (and made by a solid name), looks good, and holds a good amount of stuff, including your iPad. I presently have my power adapter and extension cable, two adapters, pens and whiteboard markers, my MBP, and a medium-thickness spiral-bound notebook, all with some room to spare.

As a professor, I lug my laptop back and forth from meetings to lecture to office to home-- this bag is the absolute perfect fit. Ask my friends-- I won't shut up about the darn thing. ;)

Simply the best case out there!

    • Written by from Pierrefonds

I bought this today, for my Macbook Air.

Tone of space, but still compact. Fits all three together, the Macbook Air/Pro, iPad, iPhone, and the chargers to go along with all 3 devices.

It's built super tough, and water resistant.

You can also use the Macbook, white it's in the case.
