    Toast 11 Blu ray Plugin

    • Written by from Auckland

I've found Toast 11 to be quite stable (unlike some reviews here). I've purchased the Blu ray Plugin and have made a couple of HD Blu ray Disks without any issues. I wish the authoring software allowed me to do more around menu manipulation - but the simple interface does the job. If your video is already edited the process of making a Blu ray is very simple. I just wish Apple's built-in iDVD software had a Blu Ray authoring function. 4/5

    Commercial Bluray

The plugin will allow you to burn Blu-ray in Toast but won't allow you to watch a purchased Blu-ray movie.

I have no quibble with the product

    • Written by from Rotorua

but I certainly have a quibble with the price. One hundred US dollars (the price on Roxio's site) DOES NOT equal N$199. Come on, Apple! We are in recession in New Zealand, in case you aren't following world news, and most retailers are therefore bringing down their prices. The Apple Store should be no exception.

    Total disappointment

    • Written by from Spokane

After trying to get this software to work with my MacBook Pro for eight months, I have come to the conclusion that it is impossible. Everything that should work does not; recording does happen and the file disappears when you save it. There is no way to get it back either. For a company that prides itself in MAC burning ware, this one's a total disappointment. Roxio need not bother to update it further. They need to go back to the basics and redesign it for all users.

    Time ot give it up

    • Written by from Tampa

It absolutely amazes me that any SW development company would take the massive leap to attempting to include Blu-ray, when there were stil numerious unresolved issues with previous versions. There comes a time when you need to cut your losses, and move on to a better, more reliable SW package.

    Absolutely Worst

    • Written by from Naperville

Do not waste your money on this. I do not have enough and proper words to describe the worst quality of this product and my frustration after shelling out $ 110. If you are looking for editing video, this may not meet your expectations. I wish I could get a refund.

    Even worse than Toast 10

    • Written by from San Francisco

I hoped this version might correct the horrors of the previous incarnation, but no such luck. Inconsistent and time-wasting performance. Another waste of my money. I won't be trying the next version, that's for sure.

    Stuck at 99%

    • Written by from spring

The main reason I upgraded to Toast 11 was for the Blu-ray plug in. I had planned on burning Fotomagico slideshows to Blu-ray. Unfortunately the software will not complete a Blu-ray. The write process reaches 99% and hangs. I must force quit to close the program. Roxio has been no help so far. After searching the web I discovered that this is a common problem, dating at least to March. If you plan to use this software for Blu-ray, don't waste your time.

    Barely OK, Unstable

    • Written by from Boston

The main reason I got this product was to use it for TiVo Transfers.
This review is for Toast 11 Titanium version 11.0.2 (691)

Unlike past versions of Roxio Toast this one leaves much to be desired.
Stability is very poor. The TiVo player crashes if you try to scroll to a location.
The DVD and HD DVD maker crash if you try to edit. It does make DVD's and HD-DVDs with good results as long as you do not edit. After a few crashes you MUST reboot the mac to get Toast 11 to run again.

It is not clearly documented that TiVo conversions to iPad or ATV are limited/crippled to 640x480 pixels.
The downloads from TiVo work well and play in full resolution but the conversions are crippled to low resolution.
