You will want to purchase a 60W adapter for use with your MacBook. This charger has a MagSafe 2 connection, which will not connect to your MacBook.

The MacBook Pro 13" model is only compatible with Apple 60W MagSafe Power Adapter. This adapter is built only for use with the MacBook Pro with Retina display.

You're talking about voltage. Note that every Apple device automatically switches between 110-120V and 240-250V. It will work regardless of which country you use it in. Wattage is referring to how much power it is consuming.

Will this work with MBP 1,1?
I have a MBP 15" (Model 1,1). I have a power adapter / cord which looks similar to this (MagSafe2) adaptor; My system Prefs/Tech specs mention it as 85W. Have seen other responses that this is not compatible with older MBP models - so getting confused if this is what I should buy... Can anybody confirm?
