free upgrade
do you have free upgrade for iphoto

Best Answer
The only upgrade for iPhoto 08 is the updates released though the update software installer. To see if you have the latest iPhoto 08 version do the following
Step 1: Click the Apple logo in top left
Step 2: Click Software Update...
It will then do a system software update just follow the commands.
Please note I do not work for Apple but I believe that there is NO free upgrade to iLife 09 or iPhoto 09 since is it part of iLife 09.
Apple however will continue to release patches and improvements to iPhoto 08 until they fell the need to ask you to upgrade.
iLife 09 while it maybe 79$US which is around 100$AU it is a great investment for anyone that does not have iLife already, users that have iLife 08 should stay on the version until they feel they have the money to upgrade.
As I say it is not something you need it is something you would like.
Hope that answers your question.- Answered by RH from Northbridge

Can you tell me which programme to buy for burning slideshow on to a disc

Best Answer
You can use the standard iLife '08, but I'm not sure about '07 or earlier.
On iLife '08 click 'View' at the top, and the 'Show in Toolbar' in the drop down box, and then 'Burn'.
Make a folder/album with all the pictures you want to burn on to the disc, or just do a single album, and click burn in the bottom right.
Hope this help.- Answered by WH from Ipswich

Should my Macbook OSX 10.4.11 be upgraded to Leopard to enable upgrade to iLife'09? I upgraded to iWork '09 with no problem.
I bought the iLife '09 at the same time as my iWork '09. Now I want to add to my website. Before I launch it want to see if I can upgrade with no problem too. If I can't, is an upgrade to Leopard available to download?

The system requirements for iLIFE 09 are different from the system requirements for iWork 09. iWORK 09 will work on 10.4.11, iLIFE 09 will not.
You can purchase the Mac Box Set, which would include 10.6 (Snow Leopard), iWORK 09, and iLIFE 09--if your computer has an Intel processor. Of course, this will leave you with extra (licensed) copies of iWORK 09 and iLIFE 09. You can legally re-sell these to recoup some of the money you have spent.
Additionally, once the entire Mac Box Set has been installed, your software will be fully up to date, matching the software on the MacBook's, MacBook Pro's, iMac's, et al currently available from Apple.- Answered by ST from Sacramento

I recently bought a Macbook with iLife09 However I do not appear to be able to install iPhoto09 on the two other Macs I own.
Do I have to buy the full iLife09 family pack even though I already have the single user version?

Was iLife 09 on your Mac install discs? If so, the Mac install discs were created specifically for your Mac and can't be used on any other Macs.
Your best option would be to spring for the $99 family pack. You'll have the licenses to install it on up to 5 computers.- Answered by AN from Mississauga
