not in a literal sense, because of it saving in a iWork file such as .pages or .numbers, which PCs just dont like. HOWEVER you can export it as a word document or excel file by going to file>export and then choosing what you want a copy of it as, the only downside to this is you may loose some of the fonts and formats as they are not on PC's word processors or whatever program

Yes, you can open .doc and .docx files in iWork; although depending on what fonts you've downloaded, your mac may have to convert the font from calibri or other word fonts.

Will iWork open and save to Microsoft Publisher?
- Asked by CO from Brownsburg

Best Answer
Sorry, iWork will not open nor save to the .PUB file format used by Microsoft Publisher. To my knowledge, there aren't many programs save MS Publisher that will read and write that format.

What is the difference between iwork and iwork family pack?
- Asked by MB from Sonoma

Best Answer
You can only use the single iWork on one computer. If you have a laptop and a desktop (like I do), you have to buy the Family Pack, even if you are the only one to use them. The Family Pack is good for up to 5 computers in one household.

Can I edit pdf files in iWork?
The question is just what it says. I have a pdf file - can I edit and save the file?
- Asked by AC from Ledbury

Best Answer
The IWork Apps (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote) will not open a PDF file. PDF files can be inserted into documents made by these apps.
All three of these apps can be used to create PDF files. One of the ways this can be accomplished in all three apps is by accessing Share->Export... from the menu bar and choosing the PDF option.
Mac OSX's native application "Preview" is the default app on the platform for opening, annotating and editing PDF files.
Editing tasks within Preview are limited and appear to be mainly concentrated on page operations (rotation, deletion, re-ordering etc). Annotation, however, is robust, and includes drawing tools, links, notes, highlighting, strikethrough, underline etc. Annotation attributes are handled via the inspector.- Answered by DT from Tooele

Will iWork open in Microsoft powerpoint 2003?
I have to do a keynote in iWork for a school project. Since they don't have iWork they only have Microsoft office will I be able to open the document at school?

You can export your Keynote presentations to Powerpoint, but as the other answerer said, you will lose some transitions and other special effects in the process.
If you can do it, your best bet is to save the Keynote presentation in Quicktime, and use Quicktime player on the PC to play your presentation. You don't lose anything that way.- Answered by GG from Winston Salem

You can go to apple's "downloads" tab on apple.com and download the trial version of iwork 09 and if you like it you can buy the full version for $79 when the trial is up. Or just buy the retail box online or in the store and install it.

iWork is the Mac equivalent of MS office - meaning it performs all the same basic functions and so much more. It is very easy to learn how to use it, and once you get the hang of it you'll find that it is much easier to work with and far more reliable than MS Office. Documents created in iWork are saved in the .pages, .keynote, or .numbers template which are unable to open in MS Office or on any PC - however, you can export files to a PC compatible format with a few simple clicks and they work perfectly.

I have a Mac Mini PowerPC G4 (1.2) w/Apple Works 6. I'm willing to buy software, if available, to make my AW files (DR, SS, DB, WP) compatible with iWork.
