AnswerThis device is a cigarette lighter (or similar power outlet) to Lightning cable. it will charge devices with the current lightning ports only. There is no bluetooth or wifi connectivity with this device

What's the current for charging iPhone5?
So the specifications of the product say the output power current is 2.1 Amps.. just wonderting what the current will be when charging an iPhone5. I suppose it will be reduced to 1Amps as the standard charing current for iPhone5? Someone can confirm this?

AnswerThe Belkin Car Charger with Lightning connector will output Max 2.1 Amps. This does not mean that it will provide 2.1 Amps only. It will provide the attached device whatever Amps it requires upto a Max of 2.1 Amps.

AnswerIt's clear from the way I read the product information here that it connects to the device by way of the new Lightening connector. That means only iPhone 5, 4th generation iPad and iPad mini.

Yes, it is. I'm using the Belkin for my Iphone 5 now.
The lightning connector is just the new name that Apple has given to the Iphone 5 cable interface. It is completely different from the previous Iphone cable interfaces. In other words you can't use the lightning connector with previous generations of Iphones.
