AnswerNo the Jabra will not read out your text messages as a stand alone device, if however you have the application called voice assist or similar applications then it can read out your text messages. AnswerOn a demo I saw on Youtube this device was used as a speaker for a laptop when plugged in with the provided USB cable. If your laptop has bluetooth capabilities then your be able to use it in the same way as you would if you were to use it for your phone.

I have an iPhone 4S, and I am wondering how well the voice commands (Siri) work without the pay service. Thanks.

AnswerIt works well enough. Siri works much better when not connected to the speakerphone, but it works with it as well. I think road noise leads to Siri miss-hearing many commands.

I slip seat with another driver and we both have I phones. Can this unit work for both phones?
- Asked by Robert S from Abilene
- 15/01/2012
- Flag as inappropriate
AnswerYes the Jabra can work with both of your phones, It can be paired with 7 devices and can switch between two devices at the same time, so one person can be on a call and then when that call ends the 2nd device then can be used for another call. If it switches between one device and another when both phones are being used at the same time then one of the calls is put on hold or disconnected from the Jabra.
Once the Jabra is powered on then there is no need to press buttons to turn the Jabra on or off. It automatically turns on and connects to the paired phones when you get into your car and off when you get out.
Be warned though, the Jabra has a very good Bluetooth range and better than anything I have ever owned, I found this out when I parked the car up, crossed the road to go to the shops and whilst in the shop I was still connected to the Jabra.- Answered by Jezz W
