Will this unit fit an iPhone 4 which has one of the hard see through plastic cases from an apple store? Pls provide docking dimensions.

I want to be able to park my iphone without having to remove the case.

Case in question is the incase (clear version)

Dimensions with case are 60.5mm width,115mm high
note the case passes the base of the iphone by just under 1mm so the actual docking point needs to be able to accommodate that the phone will not be flush with the docking station unit

  • Nope, sorry! I have just purchased the unit today, and with the iPhone 4 dock adaptor, the phone is a very tight, (too tight) fit. I have also tried it with 2 other cases: with a bumper on, it restricts the phone from slotting onto the plug far enough to connect, and with a rubberised case, similar to to the clear plastic Incase version... not a chance! I also had a few issues with the free alarm app that accompanies the unit, it's a little confusing how to operate the app and not enough instructions are supplied either with the unit or on the manufacturers website to help... However with a little hope and luck, there'll be an update or two and some further instruction.

  • yes, but you can't use the dock adapter insert (which i never use anyway)
