Western Digital 2TB My Book Studio Edition II
Product No Longer Available
These ? are confusing they are referring to less than 6TB of space, So is it 6TB? Also it has to be RAID? I can't just use it as a external Drive?

Yes 6TB. But most drives have firmware that takes a little bit, so sometimes bit less.
I have the very similar non-Thunderbolt version of this, essentially exactly the same.
I set it to Raid 1 mode (mirrored) gives me just under 3TB's of space, mirroring gives you data security in case one of the two drives fails.
However it comes in Raid 0 mode (striped) which means you get nearly the full 6TB that saves your data across both the internal HDD's, but no data secuity if a drive fails.
So exactly the same as any of those single external drives that don't need to have Raid.
Trust me, provided it's not a dud unit (unlikely), you use these exactly the same as most other external drives.- Answered by James S

1st its 2x 3TB hard drives
you can do raid 0 and have 6TB or you can do raid 1 which will be 3TB Mirrored so if 1 drive fails you replace it and the second drive restores the lost data on to the failed drive.- Answered by Joseph S from Port Richey
