Is it possible to upgrade the boxed Remote Desktop app from 3.3 to version 3.5 to match the App Store’s version?

The organization I work for has the App Store blocked so, at this time, purchasing the boxed version of Apple Remote Desktop is our only real option. I realise this might seem like a ridiculous question but will buying the boxed software at version 3.3 allow me to upgrade to version 3.5? Or will all upgrades be exclusive to the App Store from here on in?

    I have the box version of up to 10 clients what is purchased a few years back. The Software Update from OSX automatically detects the old versions and update it to 3.5.1.

  • I just purchased from apple store, I am running lion and they sent me version 3.3 of remote that does not run on Lion, the current OS
