Is ARD easy to setup without using an IP address?

I would like to use ARD to control and view my grandmothers computer half way across the world. Her IP address is likely to change. I have tried screen sharing with no success due to this. Does ARD have a simple setup method both for the admin and client, which does not involve a variable IP address?

    Short answer, no. for simple screen sharing, something like LogMeIn may be much easier. ARD is overkill if all you want is screen sharing.
