Can this device just be used on a network or do you have to have the TV aerial too

    You need a Terrestrial TV aerial, though a small one comes in the box that might work if you are in a strong/clean signal area.

  • You can plug it into the network and it will still function without the aerial, but don't expect anything beyond 5% signal strength/quality in the absence of one. :)

    In the end, the antenna provides live television only; you can still load the software and view past recordings if you so choose.
