Yes.
Are you sure you only have an Intel Core Duo processor?
Model iMac9,1 should have come with the Intel Core 2 Duo processor.
(The 3.06GHz processor was an option for the 24" iMac.)
I have an older 24" iMac model iMac6,2 with Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Absolutely no problem running Snow Leopard OS 10.6.8.- Answered by Ewald W from Vancouve
