Product Information

  • With the Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader, it's easy to download photos and videos from your digital camera to your iPad or iPad mini so you can view them on the gorgeous iPad display and share them with family and friends.

After you insert the SD card into the reader, your iPad automatically opens the Photos app, which lets you choose which photos and videos to import, then organizes them into albums. When you sync iPad or iPad mini to your PC or Mac, the photos and videos on your iPad are added to your computer's photo library.

The Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader supports standard photo formats, including JPEG and RAW, along with SD and HD video formats, including H.264 and MPEG-4.

Use this with a card to keep X ammount of videos to watch and upload at whim to my mini to watch, also use SD card as a photo library. basically this makes your ipad mini into a much larger platform for getting vids and pics onto it without having your computer at hand to upload new / diff vids or photos from. which is perfect for travel where you want a HUGE GB of vids to upload to watch on your ipad mini.

I bought this for my new iPad mini. You should insert the card in the reader, then insert into iPad. No problem with transfer.

I have tried several SD cards, none larger than 8Gb capacity and one new one with one low resolution photo on it. Nothing. One card with old photos did work, but when I deleted the photos on my PC and loaded ones I wanted to put on my iPad - nothing. The £25 charged for this lead is a rip-off even if it did work, but so many people have had the same experience.. Something is rotten in my Apple.

Just make sure you have enough space on your iPad for the pics and vids unless of course you use Dropbox or something similar. My only gripe would be that I wished it would work with the iPhones. That is why I only give it 4 out of 5 stars. Apple, please make compatible with the iPhones!
