These batteries are great let me tell you. I average 4 hours per charge with brightness and keyboard backlighting at 25% and with airport connected. With 2 of these batteries I almost never have to plug in my laptop during the day, only once I get home for the night and put my laptop away to use my MacPro

I was there for 2 ½ weeks - reason why I purchased my first 13” Aluminum Macbook (which by the way it’s awesome!) - Anyway, after I purchased my Macbook, I realized that one battery will probably not be enough as the plane ride was pretty long. I decided to order another battery and let me tell you, I am glad I did! It was perfect for my trip, I got to see a couple of movies and work with pictures while in the plane and train rides of the trip. Changing the battery is a breeze, takes me about a minute to do it… very easy!

I totally recommend it, especially if you have to travel often. About the charge life, I experienced 4 hrs, but this is watching movies and with airport on (Blue tooth off). You may be able to get 5 hrs out of these batteries if all that you are doing is word processing.

    Enjoy!

I work from my computer so I'm on it for a very significant amount of time every day. Yes,it's plugged in most of the time, but I'm perfectly fine with that.Several weeks ago it prompted me to "Replace Battery Now!"5 years of heavy use and I'm just now needing to purchase a new battery!A couple years ago,I spilled an entire glass of water on my keyboard. My Mac stopped functioning completely.I took it to Best Buy since I was no longer under Apple's warranty, and they said there was nothing I could do.I purchased a large bag of rice.Stuck my laptop in it for several days and VOILA!It's still working!I'm just overall very pleased with the quality and lifespan of my Macbook.I hope my new battery will deliver the same experience!:D

The laptop randomly went from 40% to 0% and shutdown, it restarted from where I left off when I pushed any button, but it is now running with the 0% battery indicator. Furthermore, from day the life of this battery has been much less than the original, and it discharges when not in use within 3 days (4 days when not attached). I believe I have warranty on this battery, so I will pursue that.

Apple, please don't turn into a PC.

The cheap battery suspiciously charged quickly and drained in two hours for the first six months and then dropped to only twenty minutes.

I just purchased an official Apple battery in stock at their store. This one is made by SMP and it is like having a brand new MacBook again! The runtime is six hours running on Yosemite after an initial twelve hour charge. The battery is fairly new with a build date of August 2014 (just three months ago). Save yourself a lot of frustration by purchasing the Apple endorsed battery.
