Dock Adaptors enable any iPod model to connect to the iPod Universal Dock and other products that use the Universal Dock system. You simply insert the Dock Adaptor that fits your particular iPod model into the dock, then plug in your iPod. When you want to connect a different-size iPod, simply pop out the Dock Adaptor and insert a new one.
Each package includes three Dock Adaptors. Choose the Dock Adaptor that fits the iPod model you own.

Universal Dock is a great idea. Check your accessories for compatibility.
If you've got an accessory that has a Universal Dock, these adapters are great. Check your accessories before you buy. I had pur chased an iHome H5 clock radio only to find out that it had a proprietary dock system (to their credit, iHome did provide stickers for the 30GB and 60GB Gen 5 iPods). I took it back to the Apple Store and exchanged it for the iHome H6, which does have a Universal Dock that accepts adapters.
Another tip. When you buy a case, try to find one that works with the Universal Dock. I recommend the iSkin Evo3 (the Special Edition, only available directly from iSkin is very slick) and the Agent 18 Video Shield. …- Written by Scott M from Tampa

Wa-a-a-a-y too big. Afraid to reorder because they'll probably be the same mislabeled ones... so don't be surprised if they don't fit. …

Too large for my 160 classic
My new 160 GB Classic ist my 9. iPod and ships with Dock Adapter No. 10. But this is too large in my opinion. Support has no solut ion. There are about 5mm on the front side. So it jiggles in my iPod Hi-Fi nd in my Universal-Dock. All the other Adapter from my other iPods fit 100%. Poor, poor.

Buyer Beware!
Bought these to fit my iPod classic 80GB. Not even close. Only fits the 60GB, not the rest of the iPods listed. Total junk. Ri diculous that Apple doesn't fix this mess after multiple poor reviews. …
