Does the anti glare film work on the older iphone?
- Asked by Christine G from Spruce Head
- 4/09/2010
- Flag as inappropriate
Best AnswerProbably, but you wouldn't need the crystal back film for the iPhone 3G/S or earlier. Secondly, the film, front and back is made specifically for the iPhone4 which means that it has the camera holes and flash hole in all the right places which you don't need for the earlier iPhone versions. Best to buy the approrpriate version of antiglare film for the iPhone or iTouch.

I still want to feel the smoothness of the screen that you feel without a cover/shield...if I put this shield on it, does it still feel smooth?
I recently got the invisashield and I dont like the way it feels...its not smooth and has a matte look to it... i miss the crisp and soft smoothness of the screen without a shield on it..
If i put this one on, will i still feel that smoothness?- Asked by Maninder S from New York

Best AnswerAs for me, I am currently using the Power Support HD Anti Glare film and I am very happy with the texture. It is very smooth, much better than my bodyguardz and even the crystal clear firm. So yup, it is still good and many of my friends can testify to that whenever they use my phone! ;)

is there a glossy finish or matte to choose
I recently purchased the HD anti -glare film set for my IPhone 4s & the staff at the store put it on my phone. I didn't realize it has a matte finish & really don't like the look or feel. Can this be exchanged for a glossy finish if one is available?

Best AnswerI don't believe apple returns screen protectors unless they fail but go back to the apple store with your second film and receipt and see if they will

What is the "pre-installation film" that is included? And can I install it myself or do I need Apple Tech support?
- Asked by Sevia P from Greenwich
- 22/11/2011
- Flag as inappropriate
Best AnswerThe film is basically just a sticker that helps to ensure that there is no dust or other particles on the phone's screen when you apply the screen protector itself. I installed this easily myself. I just used some cellophane tape on the edges to help position it. It literally took a few minutes. It is the easiest screen protector to apply that I have used yet, and I have applied them on my iPad, my iPods, and my Nintendo DS!

Is use of a screen protector for the iPhone 4 recommended by Apple? How likely is the screen to scratch without one?
- Asked by Jane G from Warsaw
- 18/10/2010

Best AnswerThe guys down at the Apple Store recommended it for the assurance of no scratches. I don't think this website recommends it. (Could be wrong).
The glass is highly scratch resistive, but they are possible. I've scratched mine twice, but they are only noticeable when pointed out. (I should call them retina-scratches :o). I'm guessing they were caused when I carelessly toss my phone into my coat-zipper-pocket, and the metal zipper rips at the glass.
Just be EXTRA careful when using it, and you should be fine. I still recommend this screen protector though ;P- Answered by Nathan V from Pleasant Grove

Does anti glare mean it's dark and won't let people around see?
Does this screen protector keep people around to see what I am doing in my iPhone? Like, does it protect from nosy people around?
- Asked by Natalia B from Big Pine Key

Best AnswerNegative. It means the sun and bright objects will not reflect and hinder your ability to see what is on screen. The viewing angles are not affected, ie. people will be able to see your screen when they look over your shoulder or from the side.

Will this Anti Glare Film Set block the white iPhone 4 sensor, like all the others do?
I recently purchased the white iPhone 4. The screen protector Verizon recommended I purchase blocks the sensor on top so when I make a phone call the screen does not shut off. I have looked everywhere and there does not seem to be a cover that works for the white iPhone.

Best AnswerI just bought this for my iPhone 4S and I can confirm that this film has a cut out now for the sensor, along with cut outs for the front camera and speaker. So it does NOT block the sensor.

Answerits static/suction method for staying on, it will not come off very easy from daily use but can if the edges of the film snag on something (very unlikely if using a holster or Apple Bumper

Does this screen protector cause issues with the proximity sensor?
Many screen protectors I've tried blocks the proximity sensor, which means that the screen does not go black when the phone is put up to my ear, and therefore my cheek starts dialing other people, sending emails, etc. I'd like to know if this one also causes that same issue.
