Which iPod has the best pedometer for running trails?
- Asked by Ruby T from Carson City

Best Answer
The iPod nano is the only iPod with a built-in pedometer feature. iPhones and iPods can act as pedometers as well, but need to have 3rd party apps installed from the App Store in order to do so.

Does the iPod Nano (7th g) track calories burned using your heart rate (via heart-rate monitor),or simply based on generic formula of height & weight?
I am considering purchasing a Bluetooth Smart Chest Transmitter so that I can get an accurate heart rate and calorie burn. I am assuming that using the iPod Nano (7th g) Fitness setting is only estimating my calories burned based on the height and weight that I programed into it. Has anyone tried using a Bluetooth Transmitter with their 7th generation iPod?
- Asked by Jenifer S from Arlington

Answer
The 7th generation iPod nano is compatible with Nike+iPod heart rate monitors. Out of the box, the iPod nano uses your provided height and weight to track calories burned, but you can pair it with a heart rate monitor that is compatible with Nike+iPod.

It is safe to drain the battery. In fact, it is recommended that you completely drain the battery once a month on any mobile device in order to maintain good battery health and to recalibrate the battery.

Best Answer
welllll, you can use the personal hotspot on another device, using internet from that device e.g phone. and connect your ipod onto that network through bluetooth or wifi, personal hotspot is probably the only other option due to the fact that it cannot use a 3G or a LTE network of its own.

yes there is but its called restrictions, and you can enable and disable certain apps like safari, camera, or even downloading apps, all you got to do is type in a password and remember it , but if your going to use the ipod and want to use safari then you have to disable the restrictions. if you do get the ipod go to settings(app) >general>restrictions>enable restrictions

iPod touch or ipod classic compare
- Asked by Donald B from North Port
- 5/12/2012

Answer
iPod classic can play video (it does not take video) , store pictures (it does not take pictures), and play music, audiobooks, or podcasts. It has 160GB of storage space. iPod touch can do all of the above, plus you can get apps and games and take pictures, plus a bunch more. The 5th generation iPod touch even has Siri. However, it has less storage space, with either 16 or 32GB for the 4th generation and either 32 or 64GB for the 5th generation. Honestly, unless you want to be carrying enough pictures, movies, music, etc. to last you a lifetime, get the iPod touch. In fact, the 16GB iPod touch (4th generation) is $50 cheaper than the iPod classic.
