i have 3 of these cases and many many other cases, but i always come back to my candyshells, i adore them they are by far the best protection and the best looking cases i have ever used.. as soon as you get the knack of taking the case off its very very easy..i now have the blue one and wont be buying anymore cases i love it so much..well only if they make a green one i will lol …More

I thought this was a great idea that speck had come up with. My main issue with this case is that the soft rubberized parts that you can see once the case is on (like the buttons and frame) start looking really dirty. I've only used this case for about two weeks now and I am going to buy a different case because this one looks dirty. I've been very careful with my phone. I only keep it in my pocket or purse, yet it's managed to look pretty bad very quickly. The rubber also will shred off, just from pressing the buttons. …More

Excellent Product, just a few minor flaws

The combination of a hard shell with a soft core creates a unique case that can handle almost any situation.
I've had my iPhone 3GS drop from about 5 feet in the air flat onto it's face (glass) with absolutely no damage. The rubberized interior sticks out and abosorbed all of the impact, with the glass never touching the marble floor.
There are a few small issues with the design:
1. The thin part on the front at the bottom has little support, and so the hard shell is prone to cracking. Mine's got two cracks in it 3 months in, but the rubber still holds it together, so it's just overly flexible.
2. The rubber parts that stick out do tend to appear a bit dirty. I've not tried to clean them yet, so don't know if that can be done.
3. The headphone jack is blocked slightly for some types of 3.5mm jacks. All the regular headsets work fine, but I have an installed adapter in my car that cannot fully be inserted because the case is just a tad too thick. The jack is the L-type, where the plastic behind the jack is thicker and takes a 90 degree turn.
4. It can be difficult to take the case off (which is a good thing usually, because it won't happen accidentally). Also, putting the case on should be done carefully, as the vibrate switch on the side snags, and forcing it might break that switch.
All that said, this case will not fail to protect your phone from drops, dust, etc. The purpose of a case is to keep that $400+ investment working and undamaged, and as long as you don't force the case on and break the switch, it will not fail you in that duty. …More17 of 17 people found this useful

I bought my iPhone about 3 months ago, and this was the first cover I bought for it. I love the way it looks, but it does not hold up well through every day use. I use my phone, but take the time to care for it. It usually sits in my purse or pocket. I have never dropped my phone, but do set it on table tops and other surfaces when I am using it. The shiny exterior scratches quickly and the rubber edging gets dirty, rubs off, and stains easily through light wear. This case also make my iPhone seem heavier than it really is. It is also tight when putting the cover on and off my phone. The best part about it is the inner rubber lining that protects my phone 100%. I would recommend this cover to anyone who uses their phone, but takes good care of it. Not the best quality, but pretty good. …More

Does not catch my hair

I loved this case for the two months I owned it. It has a smooth outer shell that does not catch my
hair or pockets. The inner shell is gummy, which allows for shock protection. The reason for 4
stars instead of 5: It's broken in two places (at the bottom near the charger opening). It's broken
at the thinnest place on the case so it's understandable but after two months? Also, the gummy
part on the outer shell (where the logo is) is dirty and it looks gross compared to the awesome
