I dont usually write reviews. Never actually. This will be the exception though.

My macbook pro just fell off a window sill, 1.5 meter drop, to crash hard onto a solid concrete floor. My own idiocy of course, far too close to the edge, i subconsciously knew it was going to happen. Anyway, it hit the floor very hard and i nearly had a heart attack when i heard the bang. $3000 laptop smashed? Nope, not even a scratched, opened it up, screen came on, nothing broken. Did some internal tests, all operational. Wow. Im very impressed. More relieved than you could imagine. Highly recommend these type of protection, even if just for personal assurance as opposed to aesthetics. It may add minor weight to the laptop but nothing to be concerned about. It looks and feels good.

I have used Encase, Speck and now the Moshi. All have been great but the Moshi is by far the best. Very high quality and the fit I have used Encase, Speck and now the Moshi. All have been great but the Moshi is by far the best. Very high quality and the fit is perfect. It is well worth the few extra dollars. I was especially please with the smug proof finish.

There are tw The clips do not stay in place, they easily detach from the computer. This is expecially bothering by the trackpad. There are two clips(but they stick out the length of a hair) so you can guess how easily they come off the macbook. As a result, you will get lots of debris inside the case as it does not stay flush with the macbook pro.

I was a speck macbook pro case user before (when I had the unibody) and I wanted to try a moshi case. I am extremely disappointed. I will probably get a speck black case now. Even though the speck case tabs do break, at least they stay in place.

    Do not buy this case

It fits well, is light and is almost invisible. Unfortunately after 3 months it is starting to crack in two of the lid corners. i It fits well, is light and is almost invisible. Unfortunately after 3 months it is starting to crack in two of the lid corners. i have not removed the lid, nor has it been impacted and given the frequency with which this cracking is reported, i can only conclude that it is a design/manufacture flaw. This is a great pity as it is otherwise excellent.

  • Black Moshi iGlaze - Good Case

    5.0 out of 5 stars

I carry my laptop all over my house and all over campus at school, and I've never had the case pop off or had tabs break. After 4 I carry my laptop all over my house and all over campus at school, and I've never had the case pop off or had tabs break. After 4 months it doesn't even feel loose, and it doesn't seem to be exhibiting the stress cracks that the clear version seems to suffer either. I think this is a very good case, but nothing is perfect and the only things that bother me are:
-The lower plastic portion under the body of the computer seems just a tad bit thicker than the portion behind the screen, (about the thickness of a fingernail) this is only noticeable when the computer is shut but it is somewhat noticeable nevertheless.
-Also (and this is for the black moshi case) the color and finish is very identical to the plastic hinge on the actual notebook screen behind the keyboard, it feels great but its a smudge and grease magnet.
Other than these two minor things the case is great. It's very thin and guards well against small dents and scratches. Rubberized feet on the bottom keep the computer planted and secure, even on your pant legs at an angle.
