Don't get it. I bought an iPad mini for my videos and got the adaptor to view my videos. Got it at an Apple store where they told me it would work with my videos. Big disappointment!!! Will be visiting Apple.

I brought myself a new ipad and wanted to use it with the Ion Piano Apprentice. The new Ipad has a lightning connection and the Ion Apprentice has the old 30 pin connection. I asked apple online and they suggested this product, I wasn't sure at first if this would work as the piano lights up to the tutorial on the ipad. So I thought I would save a few quid and buy a cheap one online. But I found after testing it, it didn't work, at all. So I decided to just spend more and buy the apple £25 adapter.
I was really happy that the Ion Piano Apprentice did work with the New Ipad with retina Display.
Great product, I just think its very expensive for what it is.

Nice and compact and works as an adaptor. However, it is not compatible with many of the major brand iPhone 5 cases. The base is too wide and does not allow the connector to connect to the phone. Try before you buy and consider the connector with the cable instead.

I bought an iphone 5 yesterday..I love it..however the Lightning to 30 pin Adapter was useless until I took a pair of kitchen shears and
enlarged the bottom port holes on my flexible, poly case to fit the adapter. Now it fits perfectly and my iphone 5 is nested happily in it's radio/clock dock!
AND my beautiful new phone is safe!

Worked for 2 days now will not work at all. Useless and annoying waste of money

Very good adapter but very expensive at a cost of £25.00.

The 30 pin to lightening adaptor did not fit with my case either. So what did I do? I whittled my case with a jackknife and made it fit. It doesn't look the greatest, but its the bottom of the case so who ever sees that anyway? And if you want it to look perfect then go buy a new case that has more space on the bottom.

Although pricey it does work, but with a Bose Soundock II it only works if the iPod is mounted back to front with the display hidden. The adapter can only go on the 30 pin connector on the docking station one way. As far as I know the lightning connector can be plugged in either way round, but with the iPod mounted on the adapter with the display facing forward it will not work, no sound, no track change, nothing. Flip the iPod round so the display faces the docking station and it works fine if impractical. Others have reported the same thing.

juat went and got the adapter for my ipod touch 5th gen and it great and it works with my case to thanks apple

Just purchased the connector. Fits with my covering & works with every other ipod adaptor I've acquired over the years. $30 bucks is a drop in the bucket compared to what was already spent on the ipod. Apple should just give us a heads up that the connector is different.
