can i have multi screens running on one monitor?
using the 27" screen I was wanting to have mulit screens running on the one monitor.
i.e.: Outlook email in one corner. internet web page another corner. Excel another corner.
and another application running in the other corner. then the ability to select one of the applications and have it full screen and then ability to put it back to original corner.
And /or ability to select any one of the applicatiions and work within the corner?
this ability would save the need for multi monitors and just use one large monitor to operate multiiple applications at the same time..- Asked by Barry O from Brisbane

Can more than 1 Apple Led cinema 27" display be connected to the 15inch Mac book pro?

Answer
At present I would say "No" even if you have one of the new Macbook Pros with Thunderbolt. The display needs to support Thunderbolt directly to allow you to daisy-chain the displays and this monitor is Display Port only. When Apple re-engineers their displays with Thunderbolt you are technically set.

9400M and 9600M GT, enough power?
Will my MacBook Pro from Mid-2009 be able to run this display without lag? (Using Lion) Will it have a decent fps in final cut or is it just too high a resolution?
Thanks. :)
MacBook Pro Specs:
2.66 GHz
9400M + 9600M GT (Both 256 MB)
8GB RAM
I think that was the important specs. ^^- Asked by Søren F

Answer
Works fine for me. Every now and again, accessing LaunchPad seems a tad jumpy, but beyond that, it works fine. I haven't tested Final Cut, but I have tested After Effects and Premiere. No complaints to speak of.
I have the base Mid 2009 with 2.53 GHz with the 9400M.- Answered by Quentin F from Columbia

I know there have been other questions about the 27" Apple LED Cinema display working with PCs, but does it work with the Radeon HD 5770?
Others have mentioned more powerful cards such as the Radeon HD 5970, but this monitor's max resolution is at that of the Radeon HD 5770. I am going to buy a Macbook Pro with the i7 and *possibly* this monitor, if it works with my PC. I have a Intel based board with a Radeon HD 5770. I know older mac pros had these, so it works with the card in general, but does it work in a PC under Linux? I was looking at a display port male (the one on my 5770) to mini displayport female (I know the display has a mini male DP connector).

Answer
Yes, I assume you have the Companion 5 or something like that but anyway.. when the screen is connected just go to System Preferences, Sound, Output and choose which set of speakers you want to send your audio
..or you could go to Audio MIDI setup (search it on Spotlight) and make a set of speaker outputs.
Hope this helps :)- Answered by Rabi S
