Is there any difference between a Time Capsule and an Airport Extreme other than the integrated hard drive?
My absolute top priority is the wireless network. I've got another, large network drive for storage. But for some reason, my university bookstore is selling a Time Capsule with 500 GB of storage at a cheaper price than the Airport Extreme. Is there any reason to still choose the Airport Extreme? If there's no difference, I'll get the TC, save $$, and get a bonus hard drive!

I just checked with and Apple Store person yesterday. Time Capsule is essentially an AirPort Extreme with a built in drive.
I don't understand how the Bookstore can contractually sell the current Airport Extreme Base Station ($179 USD) for less than the older Half TB Time Capsule ($249 USD), but I am not a retailer. The Time Capsule might be refurbished or used?- Answered by James M from Denville
