MacBook pro plug adapter with iPad
Hi, am going to Taiwan. My iPad 2 charger head is for Britain ( 3 headed cuboid). The charging block of the iPad has an input rating of 100-240v~, 0.45a, 50-60hz, accompanied by the aforementioned charger adapter with a rating of 2.5a, 240v~. Since Taiwan sockets use the 2 fork charge heads, I noticed that my sister's MacBook pro has a similar head. But its rating is 2.5a, 125v~. Will it work? Btw, taiwan's voltage is 110v usually.

Best AnswerYou can use the Continental Europe adapter that comes in this kit and simply remove the adapter that you are currently using for the MacBook Pro charger. No need for anything else. Also works with iPods and iPhones if you have one of those.

Will a generic adapter work to charge the iPhone in Italy? Does it require a converter for the wattage difference?
- Asked by Carol K from Mobile

AnswerYes. A generic adapter will work. The transformer is auto switching.
But these adapters are designed to be more space efficient that a third party converter would be.- Answered by Glenn S from Bardwell Valley

Is the I Phone considered a dual voltage device?
I am going to Spain and Portugal and was told that since the I Phone is a dual voltage device that all I need is a plug adapter. Is that true?

AnswerIt is the AC Adapter, NOT the iPhone that is a dual voltage device. However, it is true that all you need is a plug adapter to charge your iPhone internationally. I have used mine in Germany, UK, and China with no issues.

Is there a european plug with grounding available to customers in the USA?
The Apple World Travel Adapter Kit does not have a grounded plug for use in Europe. As a result, when you use the plug in europe, there is a slight current leak through the aluminum in a Macbook Pro.
Is there another product with the grounding included in the adapter?- Asked by John G from Davis
