I have a Microsoft office for Mac that I bought 6 years ago but I cannot load it on my new Mac Air. Do I need to buy a whole new one again?
I purchased the Microsoft for Mac. about 7 years ago for my notebook. I have a new Mac Pro Air and it will not me to load this ? Do I need to purchase a new one again? hmmm.

It depends. First, have you checked the integrity of the CDs? Can you download the program from the CD, but it will not open the package or Office does not open? Since you bought the copy 7 years ago, it would be Office 2004, and if you visit the "Office for Mac" downloads website from Microsoft, you will see that there have been 7 major updates, apart from the Exchange Server update. As the consensus is that office 2004 for Mac was rather basic, you might in the end save yourself a lot of time and hassle by just buying the latest version - but it might be a good idea to download the free trial first so that you can see whether it works on your Mac Air.
