    Libratone Zipp

    • Written by from Silkeborg

Just received my parcel with the little wonder.

Two minutes after I opened the box, the music streamed out of the speaker. You will not believe the quality of the sound before you have heard it.

Easy to understand setup guides included as well.

Libratone - you can be proud.

Fantastic product. Sound quality for the price is astonishing. Set-up in minutes from laptop or iPad. If all the plug sockets are taken (Xmas lights etc) I use the battery power. Both my son and daughter turned up for Xmas and in seconds were playing their music from their iPhone.
Considered the B&W A5 and Zepellin Air but so glad I chose this ....it is fabulous.

    Small but Awesome!

    • Written by from Stone

As an audiophile I was very cynical that something this small, battery powered, wireless could produce anything of reasonable quality but I was truly wrong. This is an incredible piece of equipment. Initially treble was slightly harsh but after a short while of play the sound gas softened considerably. The bass for its size is unbelievable. It will never fill the Albert hall but as most people have rooms that won't fit a grand piano this is definitely room filing!
What impresses the most is the quality at low level. Acoustic tracks such as Ben Howard are clear and crisp even at low volume.
It only loses a star based on price. It is an extremely good quality piece of equipment but should be sub £300 as there are comparable products on the market which are cheaper. However I will say none of them do it is well or as stylishly!

    Sound of Trash

    • Written by from Uddingston

Total and utter trash. We have a long way to go before wireless or bluetooth speakers are ever as good as wired speakers but these Zipps are meant to be next generation and also high price for the size bracket. We will need to wait for a couple more generations before anyone should invest in these wireless options.
Yes, this speaker looks great and has a robust and weighty feel to it but the most important thing on a speaker is the sound and this speaker is woefully lacking. High tinny treble and zero bass. It claims to be room filling and that may be true but a stationery cupboard is as filled as this overpriced rubbish will ever get. The functions are also a mess and at four hours of charge for the battery is fairly inadequate too.
Stick to wired for now or if you need wireless get a far cheaper set that will sound the same .
Very disappointed with these especially after the reviews I have read elsewhere.
