Yes. However, the built-in USB ports will not charge an iPod or iPhone when it is plugged in—for syncing it will work fine, though.

can the two USB ports on the keyboard also be used with my (2009) Mac book Pro's 2 usb ports at the same time? (for a total of 4 USB ports)
- Asked by Edgar M from Downey

Answer
Only three USB ports are available after plugging the keyboard into your MacBook Pro.
I think, the USB ports on the keyboard are low-power (mice, USB thumbs, etc.).
High-power USB ports can run 2.5" USB hard drives & web cams, charge your iPod.
If you need more high-power USB ports, get a powered USB 2 hub.- Answered by Chris S from San Jose

Will this keyboard work (plug and play) with my old eMac version 10.4.11?
- Asked by Mark H from Keighley

Answer
According to the documentation that comes with the keyboard, which I just purchased and am using for the first time, the answer is "yes". I can also attest to the fact since my system is v10.4.1 and I am typing away. Unfortunately, the new firmware update-which is supposed to fix an issue with unwanted key repeats- requires 10.5.+. Hopefully I will not have that problem since I am still not ready to upgrade to Leopard.
Though you didn't ask, right now I am loving this thing.. It is so much better than the old Apple keyboard I cannot even compare the two. It's like typing on air!- Answered by Kathleen A. C from Beaverton

Will this work with my old eMac with tiger and usb 1.1 ports?
- Asked by Juan G

- Flag as inappropriate
Answer
yes. and the system requirments are mac os x v10.4.1, usb 1.1 or 2.0 port (with 1.1 u can only use the low power devices, not high power like ipods and iphones, low poweer like an apple mouse or wired magic mouse). you also need the keyboard software update. your typing speed will also improve after you get used to this keyboard.

It's the same size, with the numeric portion extending the keyboard horizontally. They keyboard is the same thickness and height, only wider.
I found this keyboard strange, but it's now replaced my Extended II and a Logitech DiNovo - I can't explain how, but this sparse, flat, cold metal keyboard is the most comfortable.- Answered by Adam S from Brooklyn

Answer
I have an iMac G4 with OS 10.2.8, and yours isn't much newer than that. Some of the extra function keys will not work with it; you'll have to control those settings with your mouse from the desktop.
