The wireless receiver plugs directly into the iPad or iPhone's 30-pin connector so it will only work on those devices.

Actually yes, you can use the mic to sing karaoke along to songs already in your iTunes library from in the app. There is also a music store in the app where you can download karaoke tracks with scrolling lyrics and adjustable guide vocals.

Songs you download from the app's music store have adjustable guide vocals that you can make louder/quieter or remove completely. It also lets you mute the vocals when you sing along to songs in your iTunes library.

If I purchase and IPAD2, can it be used to host a karaoke party and connect to my mixer & screen and other mics? Will the Karaoke app work for this?
I'd like to be able to download and play current R&B and Hip Hop songs for Karaoke.

The wireless receiver has a video out connection so you can hook up the ipad to display through a television. You could run the audio out (through the headphone jack) to your mixer but you will probably have to play with the settings to adjust the volume, etc.

On the Soulo Wireless Receiver, is there a Apple Dock Connecter next to the RCA Video jack? For karaoke parties, I would like to connect my Apple A/V Composite cable from the iPad 2 to my TV & power outlet. Is this possible?
