I work at a high end art gallery, and we need to be able to print reports of what has sold each month, the amount due each artist, and commission due each salesperson. Is this possible using Filemaker Pro 12?

Does FM Pro 12 support Thai language input?

Best AnswerI've just tested this, in Thailand, on a Thai keyboard.
The central keys on each row of the keyboard (6,7; y,u; h,j; b,n) cannot be used. This means that most of the vowels are unavailable, making typing impractical.- Answered by Dn R from Bury St Edmunds

Best AnswerThe retail license allows you to install FileMaker Pro on two computers for your exclusive use. This suggests that what you want can be done but not for the purpose of sharing a database from one MacBook to the other i.e. not for concurrent use.

Best AnswerTo import the data you have in Microsoft Access you need to export the data in a format supported by FileMaker Pro. If you can export the data as Excel, Comma Separated tex or Tab Delimited text this will allow you to import the data to a FileMaker database. By visiting the filemaker.com site you may learn more about Exchanging data with FileMaker Pro by visiting the Support Tab and doing a search in the Knowledge Base under article number 5349.

I am using filemaker 7 and wish to update Is there an update or at least can I incorporate my old 7 files?
- Asked by Deryck D from Pitlochry
- 25-Apr-2012
- Flag as inappropriate
Best AnswerThere is no upgrade path available from FileMaker 7 to FileMaker 12. You will need to purchase a full license for FileMaker Pro 12.
FileMaker Inc., currently offer upgrades to version 12 from versions 9, 10 and 11. Version 9 support ends on September 27, 2012.
However, once you have done so, you can upgrade the files from the FP7 format directly to the new FMP12 format. Once that is done, you can start to update your files to take advantage of all the new features in versions 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. You have a lot more functionality!- Answered by David H from Leichhardt

AnswerEmma, there is certainly an upgrade path for you to FileMaker 12. But only until 27 September 2012. After that date, there will be no upgrade available for version 9. Check on the Apple store for "Upgrade to FileMaker Pro 12". It is $249.95 with free shipping. Be aware that FileMaker 12 is a file format change and the files will be converted and are not backwards compatible.

Is it possible to mix two languages in the same database with FileMaker Pro?
More specifically, I need to re-create an older (MS Access) database that has data in English and Mandarin in it. At the time the database was created, I was told that FM Pro didn't allow dual-language databases.
